MMIII--One Crazy Summer!
Started off real bad, with much death and sadness... This week, however, a silver lining behind the dark clouds... in conjunction with VH1 as part of a new "reality" series, my old band, Dramarama, is reuniting this Monday for a mini-concert/TV taping at the world famous ROXY in Hollywood.
We've also been asked to be a part of KROQ's next Inland Invasion, a celebration of the station's first 25 years that will present such groovy newbies as Dashboard Confessional, Hot Hot Heat and Interpol side by side with old fogies like us, The Psychedelic Furs, The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen, Duran Duran, Violent Femmes and more! Sounds like a fun way to spend a birthday--(it's taking place on mine--September 20 at the Glen Hell In Amphitheater in beautiful San Bernardino County).
Before all this happened, I was planning on self-releasing my first new JE record in five years --the eagerly anticipated "ABSOLUTELY, 100%, MADE IN NJ" EP... once again, it will be on my own label, Harvey*, and in stores soon...but 3 of the songs are available for free NOW at www.johneasdale.com (my sincere apologies for the shameless self-promotion, but I haven't time to call everybody and tell them...) please pass this on to anybody who'd be interested...
