It's actually been nine years since the first one took place on
the patio at The Hub in Fullerton, and my, how it has grown!
I've
performed at all seven, and this was the biggest by far...two huge stages, the
entire parking lot for the train and bus station shut down, thousands cheering...and
littering...the people at the festival had more interest in the acts on stage
than any sort of activism...I got up three times during the day (with three different
stunning green-based outfits..."Green is the new black") and played
a few songs on acoustic before being joined by Fullerton's own LIT for a rollicking
version of "Anything, Anything" which ended my set and began theirs...they
were wonderful human beings...truly cool...and I thank them, and everybody who
showed up, for the fun. It's especially cool because it's one of the few shows
my kids get to come and see...
All
in all, I had a blast, and I'll probably be there next time they do one...
